DAP Server 12.2

Simplified options make it easier to connect acQuire and DAP. You can now publish acQuire PointSample or Hole data, including all survey and downhole geology and sample data, as a point or drillhole dataset in DAP. Use acQuire selection files to create and publish datasets for point and hole data stored in an acQuire database. acQuire Direct API users may still access the API in Oasis montaj, Target and Target for ArcGIS.

DAP 12.2 includes support for the following dataset types found in Geosoft software applications. These dataset formats include: VOXI, 3D PDF (with extents), 3DV, geostrings, geosurfaces, and GM-SYS 3D datasets.

Automatically assign project extents through the DAP Administrator Report for documents without specified extents. Uses a grid or other spatial dataset in the same hierarchy. Documents will appear spatially to DAP users within a relevant project area instead of appearing valid for the entire world.

Option to "Remove" added to DAP Administrator Duplicate Reports. Identify duplicate datasets by Name and/or Hierarchy and/or Extents, then delete automatically based on the dataset status.

DAP security levels have been streamlined to three levels with simpler options that match the needs of DAP Data Managers and user data access requirements.

1. Extract: User has full access to search, review, and download a dataset.
2. Discover: User can search for a dataset and review the metadata and geographical location of the dataset, but cannot preview the dataset image or extract it for local use.
3. Restricted: User does not have access to the dataset.

DAP Data Managers now have the option of applying a default security group to all new datasets, eliminating the need to explicitly set permissions for each uploaded dataset. Security options can be modified as needed for datasets with specific security requirements.

Added the Geosoft Drillhole Project as a supported data type in DAP. A Drillhole Project file from the Oasis montaj Drillhole extension, Target, or Target for ArcGIS is treated as a single dataset containing multiple Geosoft Databases (.gdb). The advantages is that only one dataset in the form of a Drillhole Project is needed to publish and download instead of many GDB files.

DAP Server provides support for ArcGIS v10.1 LYR files by converting the 10.1 LYR file to a 10.0 for use in desktop applications, including Oasis montaj 8.0.
